An info tour for NGO representatives was organized at the Sabunchu Day Care Center of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the info tour participants became closely acquainted with the conditions created for children at the center and the services provided.
“The guests were informed that the Agency operates 4 permanent day care centers for children in need of special care. Their purpose is to support the psychosocial rehabilitation of children with disabilities, develop their social skills and integration into society, prevent children from being placed in state children’s institutions, and provide their families with necessary social services. Children admitted to the center are provided with social-domestic, medical-social, social-psychological, and social-pedagogical services 5 days a week, from 09:00 to 18:00. In addition, parents are provided with consulting services regarding improving child care skills, correctly identifying their needs, and supporting their development, and various training programs are organized,” the statement noted.
It was stated that the participants’ questions were answered within the framework of the info tour. Their opinions and suggestions regarding the center’s activities, provided services, and the development of services were heard.
It was noted that individuals wishing to benefit from the services of the centers can apply to the local branches of the Agency and DOST centers.
