In Sweden, the leader of the Social Democratic Party, Magdalena Andersson, has announced that she could not gather enough support to form a government.

Andersson stated that it was not possible to obtain the necessary support to form a government within the current parliamentary composition. This statement has further increased the political uncertainty in the country following the election.
In the parliamentary elections held on September 13, the center-left bloc won 176 seats, while the center-right bloc won 173. However, the center-left forces were unable to secure the necessary political agreement to form a government.
Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Andreas Norlen will meet with party leaders in the coming days to determine the next stage of the government formation process. It is expected that the current Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, will be nominated to form a government again.
According to Swedish legislation, the rejection of all candidates put forward to form a government in parliament could bring the possibility of snap elections to the agenda.
