Currently, businesses and governments are reconsidering where to invest, which directions to prioritize, who to trade with, and which relationships to rely on.
elchi reports that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov stated this during his speech at the session titled “Restoring Reliability in a Fragmented World: Azerbaijan as a Strategic Gateway Between Regions” held within the framework of the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.
According to the minister, this process is taking place at a time when the form of globalization is changing.
“Cost and efficiency remain important. Along with this, the reliability of partners and the resilience of supply chains are gaining greater importance in economic decision-making,” Mikayil Jabbarov noted.
He stated that Azerbaijan’s response to these challenges is to rely on trust formed through long-term partnerships, to strengthen ties between regions, and to utilize these connections and transit opportunities to create added value on a larger scale.
