President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree “On the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the holding of the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.”
According to elchi, the Decree establishes that foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival to be held in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and who present any of the documents mentioned in Part 2 of this Decree, can obtain visas at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from September 22 to November 5, 2026.
One of the following documents has been considered as the basis for visa issuance:
An official invitation letter from the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA);
A document confirming accreditation through the electronic registration system in accordance with the relevant rules of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must inform the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the International Air Transport Association, and the relevant authorities of foreign countries regarding the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival to be held in Azerbaijan.
It must ensure that information regarding the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in Azerbaijan in connection with the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival to be held in Azerbaijan, as well as the possibility for foreigners and stateless persons to obtain electronic visas through the “ASAN Visa” system, is posted on the internet information resources of the Ministry, as well as the embassies and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.
The State Migration Service must inform aviation companies operating flights to Azerbaijan about the simplification of visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the World Cup and Festival (FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival).
