The spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Mohebbi, has stated that if the US launches a new attack against Iran, they will change the geography of both the weapons and the war itself.
“Elchi” reports that Mohebbi expressed these views while discussing current events during a television program.
Evaluating the possibility of a new US and Israeli attack on Iran, Mohebbi said:
“In the event of a new attack, our defense and offensive strategies will undergo significant changes. We will change the geography of weapons and war. We will deploy new weapons with advanced capabilities that will astonish the world. Our targets are not the same as before; we have identified new targets that have not yet been struck.”
Stating that Iran is prepared for a long-term conflict, Mohebbi added: “In our view, war consists of various stages; it does not simply end, it continues. The Revolutionary Guards were already prepared for war, and now they are even more prepared.”
Claim: It is not the US, but Iran that determines the new regional order
Noting that the Revolutionary Guard Corps has had no contact with the US so far and that the armed forces do not participate in diplomacy, Mohebbi emphasized that the army’s primary duty is to defend the country.
Mohebbi claimed that the US hegemony in the region has come to an end and that it is not the US, but Iran, that determines the new order.
He noted that the US established military bases in regional countries based on the perception that it possesses superior defense capabilities, but these bases have been rendered useless as a result of Iran’s strikes.
