Journalist Osman Arslan, one of three people detained in connection with the suspicious death of former Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu in prison in 2011, has been arrested, while two others have been released under judicial control.
“Elchi” reports, citing “Haber Global”, that the file regarding the death of former MIT officer Kozinoğlu, who lost his life in Silivri prison in 2011 while imprisoned in the “Ergenekon case”, is expanding.
Within the framework of the investigation, an operation was recently carried out against 4 suspects in Istanbul and Tekirdağ. Former journalist Osman Arslan, ambulance driver Süleyman Kaba, the prison warden at the time Ömer Vatan, and the shift supervisor at the time Kazım Beyke were detained in the operation.
The ambulance driver was released after his statement at the police station, taking into account the current state of evidence. The detained Osman Arslan, Ömer Vatan, and Kazım Beyke were sent to the prosecutor’s office today.
Osman Arslan was arrested, while judicial control measures in the form of a travel ban were imposed on the other suspects.
