An operation against the illegal drug trade was carried out by the officers of the Lerik District Police Department.
According to the information provided by the Lankaran regional group of the MIA press service, more than 15 kilograms of narcotics were discovered in total from 30-year-old Murtuz Mammadli, who was detained during the measures.
Investigations revealed that he had obtained the narcotics from a drug dealer living abroad and had agreed to deliver them to specified addresses in exchange for financial gain.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact, and a preventive measure of arrest has been chosen for the detained person. The investigation is ongoing.
