MES has appealed to drivers

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to drivers of motor vehicles.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the MES.

It was stated that with the end of the summer vacation season and the beginning of the new academic year, traffic congestion is observed on city roads:

“Such a situation creates difficulties for the movement of special-purpose vehicles, including fire trucks and rescue vehicles, rushing to the scene of an emergency, and for their timely arrival at the scene. In particular, the failure of some drivers to give way to fire trucks and rescue vehicles rushing to the scene ultimately hinders the timely arrival of vehicles at the scene to promptly eliminate the consequences of fires, accidents, and other incidents and to minimize possible damage.

Taking the above into account, the Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to drivers of motor vehicles, urging them to immediately give way to operational vehicles, such as fire trucks and rescue vehicles, on the roads.

We remind you that drivers who do not give way to fire trucks and rescue vehicles on the roads not only bear legal responsibility in the manner established by legislation but also bear moral responsibility by creating serious difficulties for the timely arrival at the scene of fires, accidents, and other emergencies, preventing the incident, and most importantly, saving human lives in danger.

Let us not forget that no one is insured against emergencies.”
