Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), one of the AZCON Holding companies, has been named the “Best Regional Airline in Central Asia and the CIS” at the 2026 World Airline Awards. The ceremony, organized by the international air transport rating organization Skytrax, was held on September 18, 2026, at The Langham hotel in London.
According to information provided by AZAL to “Elchi”, the award is a testament to the airline’s continuous efforts to improve the passenger experience through fleet modernization, expansion of the route network, and service enhancements.
Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, stated: “Azerbaijan Airlines has strengthened its exemplary position in the field of regional airline services in Central Asia and the CIS.
