The procedure for granting military rank ahead of schedule is changing.
elchi reports that the issue related to this was reflected in the amendments to the “Law on Approval of the Statute on Military Service” and the “Law on Military Duty and Military Service,” which were discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security, and Anti-Corruption.
According to the proposed clause 32.3 to be added to the law, the term of service in a military rank for officers who have successfully completed the master’s (residency) level of higher education institutions based on the order of the armed forces and other state bodies where military service is provided, as well as those who have completed their doctoral studies and received a relevant scientific degree, is reduced by one year for each of the specified levels of higher education, once for each level.
