Internet prices are rising in Azerbaijan – New tariffs

Starting October 1, all fixed internet tariffs in Azerbaijan currently priced at 18 AZN or lower will be transitioned to a unified minimum tariff of 25 AZN.

“Elchi” reports, citing milli.az, that the changes will only apply to services intended for broadband internet and will not affect mobile communications or mobile internet packages.

It is stated that the decision was made within the framework of the policy to unify tariffs in the market and further develop telecommunications infrastructure.

The new rules are expected to affect thousands of subscribers. At the same time, operators may offer users additional services or higher internet speeds within the updated tariff packages.

Currently, providers are informing their customers about the upcoming changes in stages. Further information regarding the parameters and details of the new tariffs is expected to be announced by the operators in the near future.

It should be noted that some alternative providers operating in the market still have fixed fiber-optic or ADSL internet tariffs with a monthly fee of 18 AZN or lower.
