The curricula for Azerbaijan’s general education institutions for the 2026-2027 academic year have been approved.
“Elchi” reports that Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov has signed an order regarding this matter.
According to the order, curricula have been approved for preschool groups established in state general education institutions, grades I-XI where instruction is conducted in Azerbaijani and other languages, as well as classes where the languages of ethnic minorities are taught.
The document also defines curricula for individual education organized in general education institutions for persons who have been out of the education system for a long time.
In addition, it is intended to organize the teaching of general education subjects in accordance with the approved plans at the “Baku City ‘Vatan’ Sports Lyceum”, “Baku City Sports Lyceum No. 1”, and “Ganja City Sports Lyceum”.
According to the order, the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education will oversee the organization of the activities of general education institutions based on the relevant curricula.
Control over the execution of the order has been entrusted to Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli.
