Changes are being made to the procedure for granting military ranks in Azerbaijan.
“Elchi” reports that the issue related to this was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption, and is reflected in the amendments to the “Regulations on Military Service” and the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service”.
The period of service in the military rank of lieutenant is set at 2 years for military personnel who have graduated from special-purpose educational institutions training military personnel with a 5-year education period (1 year for military personnel serving in aviation flight crews and on submarines), and 1 year in other cases determined by the relevant executive authority.
