The death toll from floods in Nepal has reached 1,399.
“Elchi” reports, citing local media, that the Nepalese authorities have provided this information.
Previously, it was reported that 1,396 people had died. During search and rescue operations conducted throughout the day in eight affected districts, three more bodies were discovered.
The natural disaster occurred on the morning of August 26 in northern Nepal, triggered by a landslide. A powerful flow of rock debris traveled over 70 km along the riverbed at high speed, causing a large area to be submerged. In China, 43 people have died, and 519 are considered missing.
