“Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY) transported more than 12 million tons of cargo in January-August 2026. This is 9% more compared to the same period last year.
According to the information provided to elchi by ADY, transit shipments reached 5 million tons during the mentioned period, exceeding last year’s figure by 12%.
According to the information, an increase of 17% was recorded in transit cargo transportation along the East-West corridor, and 24% along the North-South direction.
“The total volume of cargo transportation for August of last year and this year increased by 32%, and transit shipments by 40%,” the statement notes.
