Criminal cases have been initiated against individuals evading military conscription.

It was stated that, following an investigation into materials received from the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription at the Military Prosecutor’s Office, criminal cases were initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan against two conscripts who, despite being deemed fit for military service based on medical examination results, evaded the next military call-up without legal grounds.
“It is noted that strict measures will be taken against individuals who evade military conscription without legal grounds,” the statement said.
