Boeing 737 makes emergency landing in Iran due to technical malfunction

A Boeing 737 passenger plane belonging to Iran’s Sepahan Airlines has made an emergency landing in Mashhad due to a landing gear issue and suspected engine damage.

“Elchi” reports that the incident occurred during the Mashhad–Kermanshah flight. The pilot declared an emergency during the flight, and the aircraft returned to land at Mashhad Airport.

Following the incident, one of the airport’s runways was temporarily closed.

In the footage from inside the plane broadcast by Al Arabiya, it can be seen that the overhead luggage compartments began to break apart due to severe turbulence during the flight. As a result, suitcases and passengers’ personal belongings fell into the cabin, striking some passengers. According to the channel, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
