Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade has thanked the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the appreciation shown to him.
According to “Elchi”, he spoke about this on September 15, while President Ilham Aliyev was receiving the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, members and observers of the Council of Muslim Religious Leaders of the Organization of Turkic States, co-organizers of the Yahya Bakuvi International Conference, and a delegation consisting of members of the Supreme Religious Council of the Peoples of the Caucasus.
Allahshukur Pashazade said that Azerbaijan is flourishing and, under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, is reaching new heights in the world:
“Under your leadership, the full restoration of our sovereignty and territorial integrity has been a great gift for us. We only saw it in our dreams, we only thought about it. But in real life, God Almighty granted it to me. Because there were some people who said that this could not happen, that we did not believe in it. But thank God, under your leadership, your policy, both domestic and foreign, and the unity of the people, we won, we achieved victory.”
The Sheikh-ul-Islam also noted that the head of state has set even greater tasks before him:
“For this appreciation you have given me, I will do my best in my life to continue to spread and convey the relations in the Islamic world, relations between religions, brotherly relations, as well as Azerbaijan’s Islamic solidarity and tolerance to the whole world.”
