“Neftchi” has extended the contract with its player Emil Safarov.
“Elchi” reports that a new “2+1” year contract has been signed with the 23-year-old midfielder.
The player, who has been playing for the Baku club since 2024, has scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists in 50 matches across all tournaments during this period.
“Neftchi” CEO Cenk Sumer shared his thoughts on the new contract with the Azerbaijan national team member:
“Our 23-year-old talented player Emil Safarov is a player who can make significant contributions to both our club and the Azerbaijan national team with his character, potential, and performance. He is also one of the players who can serve as an example for the young generation growing up in Azerbaijani football academies. During these 2 years we have been together, we have closely witnessed Emil’s constant desire to improve, his perseverance, his loyalty to his jersey, and his love for his club and our loyal fans.”
He wished Emil Safarov success:
