Amendments are being made to this law regarding windy weather conditions

Amendments are being made to the law regarding the suspension of crane operations during windy weather conditions.

“Elchi” reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Labor Code, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.

According to the draft, when wind speeds are between 6 and 8 on the Beaufort scale, operations with land-based cranes will be permitted in cases provided for in the technical passports of those cranes.

When wind speeds exceed 8 on the Beaufort scale, all types of work performed with the mentioned cranes will be suspended in any case. Taking this into account, all types of work performed with land-based cranes will be suspended when wind speeds reach 6 or more on the Beaufort scale.
