As part of a two-day visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, foreign diplomats visited Victory Square and Victory Park in Khankendi, as well as Karabakh University.
“Azerbaijan Muallimi” reports that the delegation was welcomed at Karabakh University by Rector Shahin Bayramov.
He provided the guests with detailed information about the activities of Karabakh University, the educational programs implemented there, the number of students, and the conditions created for them.
It was noted that the teaching process at Karabakh University has been carried out for the third year. The new academic year will begin on September 15. The number of students studying at the university is increasing every year. The rector noted that in the first year of the university’s operation, more than a thousand students studied there. In the second academic year, the number of students exceeded two thousand. This year, the number of students who will study at the university is expected to be close to three thousand. The rector also provided information about the conditions created for students. He stated that students at Karabakh University receive free education, necessary conditions are created for their living, and students are provided with dormitories and apartments. It was noted that modern educational programs are applied at the university, and modern infrastructure is being formed for students to receive quality education. The rector also spoke about the future development prospects of the university. He stated that work is underway to expand the educational and infrastructural capabilities of Karabakh University. The construction of new university buildings is being carried out. It was noted that a new building for the economics department has already been built and put into operation. In the coming years, it is planned to build and put into operation several more new buildings on the university campus. Foreign diplomats became acquainted with the educational infrastructure created at Karabakh University and received information about the conditions created for students and the university’s future development plans.
