Moroccan Heritage Days will be held in Azerbaijan from September 10 to 14.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the event will be organized within the framework of the embassy’s partnership with the Moroccan Association “Joussour des Arts et de la Créativité”.
Over the course of five days, Morocco’s cultural heritage will be presented through fashion, photography, music, gastronomy, traditional craftsmanship, and tourism.
A special place will be reserved for the Moroccan caftan at the event. In 2025, UNESCO included “Moroccan Caftan: Art, Traditions, and Skills” in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The exhibition will also showcase the Mlehfa, a traditional garment specific to the women of Morocco’s southern provinces.
Within the program, visitors will also be introduced to the music, craftsmanship, photography, and gastronomy of various regions of Morocco.
It was noted that the Moroccan Heritage Days serve to strengthen cultural and interpersonal ties between the two countries.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco were established in 1992. The entry into force of the visa-free regime agreement between the two countries in August 2024 has opened new opportunities for tourism, cultural exchange, and interpersonal contacts.
