Among the districts of the capital, the most populous are Khatai (277.9 thousand), Sabunchu (331.8 thousand), and Binagadi (309.2 thousand), while the least populous is the Pirallahi district (18.8 thousand).
It should be noted that as of July 1, 2026, the country’s population was 10 million 273.5 thousand people. In the first 6 months of the year, 40 thousand 798 children were born in Azerbaijan, and 30 thousand 625 people passed away. As a result, the natural increase across the country amounted to 19 thousand 224 people.
