The Intellectual Transport Management Center of the MIA has appealed to drivers regarding the new academic year.

“Due to the start of the new academic year, an increase in traffic intensity is expected on the capital’s roads, especially in areas where educational institutions are located.
Observations show that some parents who bring their children to educational institutions by car, as well as students who are drivers themselves, often do not follow traffic rules. For this reason, artificial traffic congestion occurs on roads near educational institutions, as well as on other streets and avenues adjacent to those roads. Such situations also lead to other road users who use public transport losing extra time on the roads,” the appeal says.
NIIM appealed to parents and students, urging them to strictly follow traffic rules, especially around educational institutions:
“They are requested not to park their vehicles in places where stopping and parking are prohibited, in the second lane of the carriageway, at public transport stops, and in a way that creates obstacles for other road users. It is recommended to park cars in surface and underground parking lots, as well as in designated parking spaces, as much as possible.”
It was noted that the NIIM, together with traffic police officers, will keep the roads in front of educational institutions located in the capital and other streets and avenues under control:
“If situations causing artificial traffic congestion are observed, necessary measures will be taken to eliminate them. At the same time, in order to ensure the continuity of traffic flow, a ‘green wave’ mode will be applied to traffic lights in various directions.”
