In accordance with the training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, events were held in the branches of the Azerbaijan Army, formations, military units, and special educational institutions in connection with the start of the new training year.

Speakers at the events brought to the attention of the personnel the tasks set before the Azerbaijan Army by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, as well as the orders and directives of the Minister of Defense and the General Staff regarding maintaining the combat readiness of the troops at a high level.
The importance of increasing the quality and intensity of training exercises conducted in the new training year by making extensive use of advanced methods and high technologies was noted.
It was stated that, in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Defense, taking into account the combat experience gained during the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent combat operations, the main focus in the training process will be directed toward further improving the skills of personnel in the effective use of modern combat equipment and weapons in various climatic and difficult terrain conditions, both day and night.
The strengthening of the material and technical base, the application of automated control systems, sound planning, and the successful resolution of other organizational issues will create a foundation for better organization of combat readiness in the new training period.
