Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on Germany’s attitude towards Russia. Characterizing the decisions made by Germany as the “beginning of a real war,” Lavrov said: “They (the Germans) want war again.”
“Elchi” reports that speaking to the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), Lavrov assessed Germany’s attitude towards Russia.
Noting that Germany took measures against Russia by referring to the discovery of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at the Leipzig-Halle airport last week, Lavrov stated that these measures also included the closure of the Russian Consulate General in Bonn and the Russian House in Berlin.
Lavrov continued:
“They (the Germans) found a UAV and claimed it belonged to Russia. No one investigated the actual facts. This is, in fact, the beginning of a real war. I remember that the Germans also closed their diplomatic missions before the Second World War. This is completely unacceptable. They want war again.”
Minister Lavrov emphasized that Germany has not learned lessons from its history.
