A series of events have been held by the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to raise public awareness about behavioral rules in emergency situations.
According to the information provided by the Ministry to “Elchi”, with the participation of specialists from the State Fire Control Service, the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue of the MES, the Baku Regional Center (RC) held awareness events for the non-working population at City Polyclinic No. 14 in Khatai district, Kindergarten No. 158 in Binagadi district, the Republican Diagnostic Center, and the Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics; the Sumgayit RC held events at kindergartens No. 49 and 70 in Sumgayit; the Southern RC held an event at the “Astara” power plant of “Azerenergy” OJSC; the Mugan RC held an event at the Bakhramtapa Hydrojunction Operation Department in Imishli district; the Ganja RC held an event at the Tovuz District Statistical Office; the North-West RC held an event at the Oguz District Olympic Sports Complex; and the Aran RC held an event at the Representation of the Head of Goranboy District Executive Power for the Rus Borisi village Administrative Territorial District.
The purpose of holding these events was to provide citizens with the necessary knowledge regarding behavioral rules during potential natural and man-made emergency situations.
During the events, detailed information was provided on the classification of emergency situations, emergencies characteristic of our country, including necessary behavioral rules related to fires and earthquakes; the purpose of the MES “112” hotline was explained, and the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment were demonstrated.
During the events, which were held in an interactive format, questions were answered in detail.
