According to labor legislation, reduced working hours may be established for specific categories of employees.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the employee’s age, health status, working conditions, the nature of labor functions, and other circumstances are taken into account in such cases.
It was stated that for employees under 16 years of age, reduced working hours are set at no more than 24 hours per week.
“For employees aged 16 to 18, persons with I and II degree disabilities due to 61-100 percent impairment of body functions, pregnant women and women with children under one and a half years old, as well as parents raising a child under 3 years old alone, the weekly working time cannot exceed 36 hours.
The same rule applies to those working in conditions with physical, chemical, biological, and other heavy production factors harmful to human health, as well as to persons working in workplaces that create high sensitivity, anxiety, mental, physical, and nervous tension,” the statement said.
