Discussions were held regarding potential projects in the oil and gas sector and the “green energy” field between Azerbaijan and China, including possible energy projects in the Caspian Sea.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Energy to “Elchi”, Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Zhang Chuanjiang, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of “China National Offshore Oil Corporation” (CNOOC).
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed regarding the development of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, and it was emphasized that the cooperation successfully continuing in various fields between the two countries also creates broad opportunities in the energy sector. The importance of documents serving to further strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries was noted.
During the meeting, the established cooperation relations between Azerbaijani and Chinese companies in the energy sector were discussed, and an exchange of views took place regarding the development of the existing partnership and the possibilities of implementing new joint projects.
Representatives of the CNOOC company expressed their interest in participating in energy projects implemented in Azerbaijan.
