A joint staff exercise on the topic of “Organization of the work of operational groups and headquarters for the management of the Ministry’s apparatus and structural units during the elimination of the consequences of emergency situations” was held by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry, in accordance with the plan, the operational groups were first given relevant tasks and involved in the areas where the simulated emergency occurred.
The main purpose of the staff exercise, held jointly with the Ministry’s apparatus and structural units, was to determine the real capabilities of the forces and means located in the area during possible large-scale emergency situations, their level of readiness, mutual cooperation and management system, as well as to improve the prevention of possible emergency situations and the organization of the evacuation of people.
During the exercise, operational information about the situation caused by the simulated emergency in the areas, as well as the involved forces and means, was delivered to the headquarters. The general situation in the areas and facilities where the simulated emergency occurred was studied, intelligence data was collected, and analysis and assessment of the situation were carried out. Also, simulation measures were taken during the exercise regarding fire extinguishing, rescue operations, evacuation of the population, restoration of life support for affected people, and other necessary issues.
Information provided by operational groups consisting of 7 headquarters regarding the work carried out was summarized, and reports from the heads of the units were heard.
At the end of the exercise, the results were analyzed, relevant tasks were assigned, and questions were answered.
