Several buildings in a dilapidated state in the Bilejeri settlement of Baku’s Binagadi district may be demolished.
“Elchi” reports, citing Baku.ws, that the demolition of building 1A at 35 A. Zeynalli Street, building 2A at 37 A. Zeynalli Street, building 3 at 15 M. S. Ordubadi Street, and building 4A at 37 A. Zeynalli Street located in the settlement is being considered.
According to the information, the dilapidated state of the mentioned buildings has brought their inclusion in a future demolition program to the agenda. In the event of demolition, the fate of the apartments of the residents living in those buildings and the form in which they will be provided for will also need to be determined separately.
An inquiry has been made to the Binagadi District Executive Authority regarding whether the buildings at the noted addresses will be demolished. The agency stated that the matter could be reviewed if relevant investment proposals are received for the area in question and interest is shown by investors: “Currently, there are no plans for demolition work to be carried out by the state in that area.”
It should be noted that while payments were around 1500 manats per square meter in previous years, they are currently averaging around 2700 manats across Baku. However, this figure is not the same for all areas.
