Syrian transitional president Ahmad al-Shara has appointed Mazloum Abdi, the leader of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as his advisor.
elchi reports that this was stated in a presidential decree published by the SANA news agency.
The statement says: “Mustafa Khalil Abdi, known as Mazloum Abdi, has been appointed as an advisor to the President of the Republic.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Ahmad al-Shara. The heads of state discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for development.
