The Sumgayit Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held an exemplary civil defense exercise on warning and assembly with the non-militarized territorial civil defense forces of the Khizi district.
According to the information provided by the MES to “Elchi”, the event, held under the theme “Activities of non-militarized territorial civil defense units upon a warning assembly signal during emergency situations,” involved relevant structural divisions of the Sumgayit Regional Center, the Civil Defense Headquarters of the Khizi District Executive Power, the Emergency Situations Commission, and personnel of the territorial civil defense forces.
The purpose of the exercise was to check the readiness level of territorial civil defense forces for operative response to emergency situations, to coordinate joint activities in crisis situations, to improve the management knowledge and skills of the command staff, and to instill practical habits for warning assembly in the personnel.
During the event, the activities of non-militarized territorial civil defense units regarding notification of an emergency, mobilization upon a warning assembly signal, marching to the assembly point, and organization of assembly and management were checked, and reports on functional duties were heard.
14 pieces of equipment and 50 personnel of the Khizi district non-militarized territorial civil defense forces were involved in the exercise.
In the end, the exercise was analyzed and relevant instructions were given.
