The ‘Erez’ crossing, located on the border with Israel in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, will remain closed for goods, and reconstruction work in the enclave will not begin until demilitarization and the disarmament of the radical Hamas movement take place.
“Elchi” reports that the Prime Minister of the Jewish state, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated this.
“There is no directive to open the Erez crossing for goods. Israel’s policy in Gaza is clear and has not changed: no reconstruction work will be carried out until Hamas is disarmed and the strip is completely demilitarized,” Netanyahu said. The Prime Minister’s statements were released by his office.
