The results of the 2026 unified national examinations in Georgia have been announced. Out of 39,689 applicants who participated in the exams, 34,150 were admitted to higher or vocational education programs.
elchi reports that the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC) of Georgia has released this information.
Of those admitted, 20,679, or 60.55 percent, will be fully funded by the state.
Specifically, 17,862 people will study in bachelor’s programs at the state’s expense, 1,322 in vocational education programs, and 1,495 in the Georgian language preparatory program.
According to the center’s data, 1,795 applicants did not get admitted to any educational program due to high competition in their chosen programs, despite passing the minimum competency threshold. Another 3,744 applicants failed to pass the minimum competency threshold in one or more subjects.
NAEC stated that it is important to update the ranking list during the admission process, taking into account the scores obtained by the applicant and the competition in the chosen programs.
Applicants can change their priorities and add new bachelor’s and vocational education programs through their personal pages until 18:00 on the day following the publication of appeal results.
It should be noted that before the higher education reform in Georgia, state educational grants were awarded at 50, 70, and 100 percent based on the results shown by applicants in the unified national examinations.
Between 2013 and 2025, the number of applicants who won a 100 percent state educational grant accounted for 2.90-3.84 percent of the total number of admitted students.
