There are a total of 2389 mosques in the territory of Azerbaijan.
This information was provided by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.
It was noted that 1900 of the mosques are in constant operation:
“At the same time, there are 874 shrines and sanctuaries, 16 churches, 7 synagogues, 23 Christian houses of worship, as well as 1 Baha’i and 1 Krishna place of worship in the country.”
