Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made a statement to journalists regarding the dissolution of the YPG (the Syrian branch of the PKK terrorist organization – ed.) and stated that this would strengthen Kurdish-Arab brotherhood in Syria.
“Elchi” reports that “Haber Global” has provided information on this matter.
“Our job is to demonstrate a professional approach and verify that the armed groups have been disbanded. If it is as stated, it is naturally a welcome development,” he said, adding that Syria’s national unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity must not be violated.
According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, the YPG has been against not only Syria but also Turkey:
“But in the new process, we will resolve all these problems through mutual understanding, dialogue, and peaceful means,” he said.
It should be recalled that on August 25, Mazloum Abdi, commander of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF), announced that the armed groups had been disbanded and that the Kurdish forces had been fully integrated into the ranks of the Syrian government troops.
