The tuition fees and planned admission spots for the IV specialty group for higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year have been announced.
“Elchi” reports, citing Modern.az, that the annual tuition fee for the IV specialty group at the Azerbaijan Medical University ranges between 4500 and 5000 manats.
The annual tuition fee for the Medicine specialty has been set at 5000 manats, while for Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Nursing, it has been set at 4500 manats.
These figures indicate a decrease in tuition fees compared to the previous academic year. For instance, while the annual tuition fee for the Medicine specialty was 6500 manats in the 2025/2026 academic year, it has been set at 5000 manats for the 2026/2027 academic year. Thus, the annual tuition fee for this specialty has decreased by 1500 manats.
For the Dentistry specialty, the annual tuition fee, which was 6000 manats last year, has been reduced to 4500 manats this year. The payment for this specialty has also decreased by 1500 manats.
For Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Nursing, the annual tuition fee, which was 5000 manats last year, has been set at 4500 manats for the 2026/2027 academic year. Tuition fees for these specialties have decreased by 500 manats compared to the previous year.
Thus, the annual tuition fees at AMU, which ranged between 5000-6500 manats last year, have been set between 4500-5000 manats for the new academic year.
Regarding planned admission spots, in the Azerbaijani section, 520 spots have been allocated for Medicine, 75 for Dentistry, 60 for Pharmacy, 60 for Public Health, 60 for Nursing, and 40 for Physiotherapy.
In addition, 15 planned spots are provided for the Medicine specialty taught in English, with an annual tuition fee of 5000 manats.
In the Russian section, 65 spots have been allocated for Medicine, 25 for Dentistry, 20 for Pharmacy, and 20 for Public Health.
At Karabakh University, education for the IV group is carried out on the basis of state orders.
At the university, 30 spots have been allocated for Biology teaching, 30 for Chemistry teaching, 30 for Psychology, 24 for Pharmacy, 36 for Nursing, 24 for Dentistry, and 72 for Medicine.
Thus, a total of 246 planned spots have been provided for the IV group specialties presented at Karabakh University, and all spots are state-funded.
