Iran and Oman are negotiating an agreement that will restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. According to sources, the contract provides for a 60-day temporary agreement between the two countries. Under this agreement, all shipping passing through the strait to the Persian Gulf will move along the northern route passing through Iranian waters. All shipping passing through the Strait of Hormuz to the Arabian Sea will pass through Omani waters along the southern route in coordination with Iran.
