The Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi of the Ministry of Science and Education has announced the space weather forecast.
The Observatory informed elchi that solar activity has weakened. 41 sunspots in 4 sunspot groups and coronal holes are observed on the Sun’s surface.
The maximum speed of the solar wind has increased to 464 kilometers per second. Currently, the solar wind speed is 404 kilometers per second.
From August 10 to 16, the probability of a C-class flare is 25 percent, the probability of an M (R1-R2) class flare is 1 percent, and the probability of an X (R3) class flare is 1 percent.
Due to the expected coronal mass ejections and coronal hole streams, a weak geomagnetic storm (G1) is expected on August 11-12. If the streams arrive simultaneously, it is not excluded that the storm could rise to the G2 level.
