“Elchi” reports with reference to the National Hydrometeorological Service that, according to the data as of 11:00 on August 10, starting from the evening of the 9th, lightning and rain have been occurring intermittently in some mountainous and foothill regions. In some places, the precipitation is torrential.
Amount of precipitation
The amount of precipitation was 17 mm in Gadabay, 14 mm in Dashkasan, 9 mm in Aghstafa and Goygol, 7 mm in Shamkir, 6 mm in Ganja, 4 mm in Tovuz, 2 mm in Shaki, and 1 mm in Tartar, Yevlakh, Ceyranchol, Shahdag, and Naftalan.
Maximum wind speed
A north-west wind is blowing in some places, with the maximum wind speed reaching 21 m/s in Julfa and Mingachevir, 18 m/s in Naftalan, 17 m/s in Shabran, and 15 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Sadarak.
The maximum air temperature was recorded at 39 degrees in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 40 degrees in the Aran regions, 38 degrees in the Nakhchivan AR, and up to 27 degrees in the mountainous regions.
