Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) recommends that passengers planning to travel on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route during August and September plan their trips in advance and purchase their tickets early, taking into account the high passenger demand.
According to the information provided by AZAL to “Elchi”, the increase in passenger flow towards Nakhchivan during this period is driven by people returning from summer vacations, students and families preparing for the start of the new academic year, and an increase in business travel. As a result, seats on flights for certain dates fill up more quickly. Planning travel in advance provides passengers with a wider selection of dates and times, and helps them organize their trips more comfortably.
Currently, 16 regular daily flights (round trip) are operated on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route. Furthermore, the national air carrier continuously analyzes passenger demand and, within the scope of operational capabilities, optimizes the flight schedule while also considering the possibility of scheduling additional flights when necessary.
It should be noted that the flight program to Nakhchivan is formed by taking into account not only passenger demand but also the region’s complex mountainous terrain, weather conditions, and other operational factors. For this reason, the planning and execution of flights are carried out in accordance with operational requirements that ensure safe and reliable flight operations.
