Electric cables with a total value of 70 thousand manats have been stolen from various addresses in the capital’s Sabunchu, Khazar, and Absheron districts.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was stated that as a result of measures taken by officers of the 15th Police Station of the Sabunchu District Police Department, 42-year-old Zamin Jafarov, who was previously convicted and is suspected of committing the theft, was detained. Investigations revealed that the detained person had dismantled electric lines passing through the mentioned areas at night at different times, stolen the cables, and sold them to non-ferrous metal collection points.
Investigations into the facts are ongoing.
