The importance of the new projects for the Baku Metro lies in the fact that it will be possible to transport more passengers, ensure safer movement, and operate more efficiently.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the press service of “Baku Metro” CJSC.
He noted that the functional importance of the projects for the city will be to maximize the convenience of public transport movement: “In addition, significant projects will be implemented in the direction of increasing mobility. It will even give a special impetus to the faster and more sustainable development of micromobility projects that are rapidly developing in Baku today. In general, in accordance with the State Program, the construction of ten new stations in the coming period, in addition to increasing the number of passengers of the Baku Metro, will facilitate movement towards the city center in surface transport, prevent traffic jams, increase mobility, and provide a positive boost to the more efficient organization of public transport.”
It was noted that in the coming period, the more efficient operation of the Baku Metro will be ensured, and the mixing of passenger flows from “28 May” to “Hazi Aslanov” will also be prevented:
“This means that if today passengers from “Hazi Aslanov” to “28 May” station let one train pass to travel on a single line and board the next one, which also creates certain obstacles for boarding and alighting passengers, then in the future, after the program is implemented, you will be able to travel to your destination comfortably with the first train that arrives on the line.”
