The Perseid meteor shower will be observed until August 24. The maximum activity of the meteor shower will occur on August 13 at 06:00 Baku time.
“Elchi” reports that the Astrophysics Department of the Faculty of Physics at Baku State University (BSU) has released information regarding this.
“In 2026, the maximum of the Perseid meteor shower coincides with the New Moon phase. The absence of moonlight will ensure that the sky is sufficiently dark and will almost not hinder the observation of the meteors. For this reason, the 2026 Perseid meteor shower is considered one of the most favorable observation opportunities in recent years,” the statement noted.
