elchi reports that, according to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) Earthquake Department, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 03:00 with its epicenter in the city of Ismailia, Egypt.
It was determined that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5.47 kilometers.
Reports in the Egyptian press stated that the earthquake, which was felt in the capital Cairo and surrounding cities, did not cause any negative consequences according to initial assessments.
