“Initial analyses show that the competitive situation varies across specialty groups.”
elchi reports that this was stated by Maleyka Abbaszade, Chairperson of the State Examination Center, in a statement to journalists.
She noted that for specialties in the I specialty group with passing scores above 600, a decrease of 1–2 points is expected: “In the 500–600 point interval, there may be a decrease of up to 16 points. In the 400–500 point interval, a decrease of approximately 5 points is forecasted. However, in intervals below 400 points, passing scores are expected to increase due to changes in the number of graduates and quotas.”
For the II specialty group, a decrease of 1–3 points in passing scores is expected in most point intervals: “In the 300–400 point interval, the decrease may reach up to 12 points. In the 200–300 point interval, an increase of 3–4 points in passing scores is possible due to the rise in the number of graduates and quotas.”
For the III specialty group, there may be a decrease of 3–4 points in specialties with passing scores above 600. In the 500–600 point interval, passing scores are expected to increase by 3–4 points. An increase of 1–8 points in passing scores is forecasted for specialties in the 200–500 point range.”
The SEC Chairperson stated that competition is higher in the IV specialty group: “According to current information, the number of those who scored above 600 is more than 1,000. As a result, an increase of up to 15–17 points is possible in specialties with passing scores above 600. Passing scores are also expected to rise in the 500–600 point interval. In the 400–500 point interval, it is assumed that passing scores will generally remain at last year’s level. In the 200–300 point interval, passing scores are expected to decrease.”
She noted that the statistics currently presented are preliminary and based on the results of two attempts: “Precise statistics will be published after they are finalized. Based on those statistics, each applicant will be able to evaluate how the situation in their point interval has changed compared to the previous year.”
