MES announces the most dangerous areas in the Caspian Sea

Against the background of the strong windy weather currently observed in the capital, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has once again called on citizens to follow safety rules.

elchi reports that an official of the ministry, Captain Fərd İlhamoğlu, responding to our website’s inquiry, stated that despite extensive awareness-raising work, swimming in non-beach areas and dangerous water basins is still observed, especially among children and teenagers.

According to him, such behavior often results in tragedy.

The MES official noted that citizens should not use areas that do not operate as beaches, should not enter the wavy sea in windy weather, and parents should not leave children unattended.

The captain emphasized that only legal beaches where lifeguards are on duty should be used in the sea.

Fərd İlhamoğlu stated that as a result of the monitoring carried out by the MES, the most dangerous areas along the Caspian Sea coast have been identified.

These are as follows:

“Shimal GRES” and “Mil Gaya” areas located in Mardakan and Shuvalan settlements;
Areas known as “12th Dalan” and “Dachnik” located in Bilgah and Nardaran settlements;
“Sari Gaya” located in Novkhani settlement;
The area known as “Mayak” in Sahil settlement.

According to the MES official, these areas pose a serious threat to human life due to strong underwater currents, complex underwater relief, deep pits, and ravines.

“Such areas pose a direct threat to human life and health because they are rich in underwater currents, complex underwater relief, ravines, and pits. Our citizens should not risk their lives by entering these areas and should only use legal beaches where lifeguards operate,” emphasized Fərd İlhamoğlu.
