A series of awareness-raising events held for small vessel operators

The State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has held a series of events aimed at educating small vessel operators on relevant safety regulations.

This was reported to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The latest such events, held under the theme “Safe operation of small vessels,” were organized in Mardakan settlement of Khazar district in Baku, on the shore of the Ashigbayramli reservoir in Ismayilli district, in Goyshaban village of Lankaran district, and in the Tourist settlement of Khachmaz district.

During the events, small vessel operators were informed about the equipment requirements for such vessels. Furthermore, the standards regarding technical control requirements for small vessels were explained, and the importance of undergoing technical inspection as prescribed by legislation and obtaining the necessary certificates for the right to operate was highlighted. At the same time, small vessel operators were educated on the rules for using collective and individual life-saving appliances and navigation equipment.

Educational brochures regarding the equipment and safe operation rules for these vehicles were distributed to the small vessel operators during the events.
