Operations are being continued by the employees of the Main Department for Combating Narcotics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prevent the sale of narcotic drugs.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry, Ramil Aliyev and Nihat Abdurrahmanov, who were previously convicted of theft, were detained during the measures taken in the Absheron and Garadagh districts.
A total of 57 kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine, opium, hashish resin, marijuana mixed with harmful substances, and 1981 methadone pills were discovered from them. It was determined that the detained persons organized the illegal circulation of narcotics brought into the country by smuggling at the behest of foreign drug traffickers.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fact, and a preventive measure of detention has been chosen against the detained persons by the court’s decision.
